The major theme

The major theme in this story is manipulation and the hatred among the people. In this book, relationship between adults and children is very weird. They manipulate each other and hate each other. Graff is the example who controls Ender the most, and gives him so much stress. Ender doesn't want to give influence over people, but he is manipulated by adults. He does things by their force; killing is one of the examples.

On the other hand, although the adults often manipulate or control the children, this is not always the case. Peter and Valentine, two kids, dominate the worldwide political system and also control adults. Children in this book are smaller than adults in size, but other than that, we can say that everything is the same as the adults, such as thoughts, emotion, and whatever.

In the battle school, everyone hates Ender because they are so jealous because Ender is better at everything than anyone else. He wins the game every time, and even adults knew his intelligence. Due to his special ability, everyone hated him. The book represents Ender's loneliness throughout the whole story.
